Meet Laurie
Hi, I’m Laurie Polomsky.
I won a writing contest in 5th grade… and it only took me about 40 years to publish my first book.
In between, I followed my passions wherever they led me. I journaled, wrote stories, read books on writing, earned my English degree in Creative Writing from the University of Houston, taught English, and even owned a bakery. Along the way, I made mistakes, wasted time, learned lessons the hard way, and grew into the person I am today.
And then one day, after we had been driving for a while, I stepped into the RV and something clicked.
That entire weekend, every spare moment I had, I was brainstorming. What started as a few scattered ideas turned into weeks, then months of notes and thoughts coming together. It was not just one thing.
It was everything I love finally aligning.
Travel. Dogs. Relationships. Food. Real life.
And in that moment, I knew:
This is my first book.
The Best RV Guide for Couples with Dogs is the result of all those years. Every passion, every lesson, every experience coming together in a way that finally made sense.
And now I have caught the bug. The publishing bug.
I am pretty sure there is no cure… except maybe more cowbell.
As I step into the second century of my life, this is just the beginning. This book was one of many goals and dreams, and there are more on the way.
